Windows reports "not enough space"

Hello–I’ve had this problem for quite some time and have finally decided I need to fix it.

I have a Drobo (1st gen) connected to my home LAN with a Droboshare. Drobodashboard detects it and adds two volumes to windows (win 7, 64 bit). Also, Drobodashboard reports that the Drobo is healthy and that I’m using 2.05TB and have 1.34TB of free space.

Despite all of my free space, I am unable to write any files to one of the volumes. The other works as it’s supposed to (read/write). When attempting to write to the ‘broken’ volume, windows reports that there is “not enough space” and that I need to free up space. Oddly, though, Windows reports that I have 1.89TB of free space. I connected the drobo directly to my computer and ran chkdsk until no errors were reported. While connected to USB, windows is able to read/write to either volume.

Anyone know what I can do to fix this?
