Hello! My 5N’s fan is starting to get noisy, and rather than replacing it, I am exploring just moving it to a different room. I have a Netgear EX6400 range extender that can be set up as an access point, and promises “to connect a wired device like a game console or a smart TV to your WiFi network” via it’s ethernet port.
I assume that this would also work for my Drobo, but although I can see it being added to the WIFI network, I can only see the volumes if I go to the network through the finder. DroboDashboard does not see anything, and same about Plex.
Any thoughts? Perhaps there is any setting that I have to change to allow access to the volumes? Is what I am trying to do even possible? Thanks!
