I have been a satisfied user of a Drobo with Droboshare for a couple of years and am now considering upgrading to a Drobo FS in the interests of increased data transfer speeds. What is the best practice for changing the units? Having just added a new 2TB drive to my existing Drobo, I was amazed by the ease of simply slotting in the drive without having to take any precautions. When changing to an FS, is it simply a matter of removing the drives from the old unit and slotting them into the new? Or is there a conversion process that I’d need to bear in mind?
