Hi,
I am planning on changing over all 8 x 2tb drives in my Drobo Pro to 8 x 6tb drives. Does anyone see a problem with this? Will I be able to access all the storage? I read this http://support.drobo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/506/ and it lists max usable capacity for cetain models but does not mention the Drobo Pro in that list. Is there a max usable capacity for the Drobo Pro? If this does work, am I right in thinking that if I use dual redundancy I will get about 32TB of usable data storage?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Hi,
there is already a tread for that: http://www.drobospace.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=142398
Short answer: Yes, you can use 6 TB HHD in a DroboPro. I did test this myself with the 6 TB WD RED.
