Hi,
I have an 800i that’s been happily backing up all our office Mac using the Mac Server software. All was fine until a couple of weeks ago. I suddenly had errors on all Macs. I tried de-selecting the backup volume, and then re-adding it and was then given - The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 2.)
I have now re-formated the backup volume, but now get this -
The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 89.)
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks for this - although it did not directly resolve my issue - It does provide some very useful info!
I did actually resolves this. It turned out to be related to Apple Filesharing issues that seem to materialise from no where!
ah, ok thanks bruce for the update, and am glad you managed to find good info, and to fix it
