TimeMachine Restore over iSCSI?

I want to use my DroboElite as a TimeMachine backup for my mac. But, the thought occurs to me; how would I do a full system restore with the DroboElite using iSCSI, when the Snow Leopard install DVD doesn’t include any support for iSCSI!

I understand that I need to install the drobo dashboard to be able to see the drobo volumes, but… How do I do that without restoring the data first?

Have never done a time machine restore myself. Could you hook to DroboElite to another Mac via iSCSI then connect your broken mac to the first in target disk mode via a firewire cable and restore that way?
