Actually, the switchover from PDT to PST hasn’t happened in the states yet. I believe that happens in the wee hours tomorrow morning. Is that possibly the problem?
I fixed this on my Drobo 5N by copying a file called /usr/share/zoneinfo/GB-Eire (which is correct for my timezone) on my crosscompiler virtual machine to /etc/localtime. I renamed the original localtime (which appears to be somewhere on the US west coast) to localtime.orig, just in case anything goes wrong.
/usr/share/zoneinfo isn’t available on the Drobo5N, presumably because they didn’t expect people to care about it enough to waste the space.
Can I just use one of the files in /usr/share/zoneinfo/ on my Mac and copy it to the Drobo? I’m looking for a setting for Germany.
I’m afraid to damage anything …
