Thunderbolt Docks (with own unmounting app)

Hi All,

I am a bit of a tidy freak and am considering the Elgato Thunderbolt Dock. The draw is leaving everything plugged into it and running only the one TB cable to my laptop.

One of the other features that draws me to the Elgato model is the dashboard app that allows you to eject all devices at once. Has anyone tried this with Drobo? I tend to use the Drobo Dashboard to Shutdown my Drobo Mini, but wondered if this would do any harm?
