Hi,
I just got a new drobo fs and I am looking for what apps people suggest. I am really not planning to mess with the os unless I have to so I am not sure about installing ssh. Other then that I am trying to install Fuppes. What are some other suggestions? This is storage that is used for windows and will have video played off it by my xmbc.
Are there others I am missing?

If you want to use the Drobo as a torrent box, I suggest installing rTorrent + ruTorrent.
It can also serve as a nice SSH server, which means you can mount the content of the FS remotely and securely over SSHFS or simply use SFTP.
If you are a coder, you can use it as a git or subversion repository.
You can run a MySQL database server, and coupled with PHP and lighttpd, you can install pretty much every web app out there (for example, host your own blog, picture gallery, etc).
If you install minidlna, you can do “magic” tricks using an smartphone. There are apps for both iOS and Android devices that allow you to control both the Drobo and your XBMC client using DLNA.
What did you have in mind?
I actually run very few DroboApps for all of my posting around here - just ricardo’s SSH and bash ports. That gives me much better shell access and the ability to SFTP/SCP when needed. I don’t run anything else just because the Drobo is woefully underpowered.
High quality shell access has been a lifesaver many times, however.
