Standby only when computer is powered off

Hi,

when I try to shutdown my Drobo I need to unplug the USB cable or to shutdown my computer (Win Vista x64). It doesn’t matter if I safely remove the USB-connected Drobo with the Windows tool or using the Dashboard to send the Drobo to standby…

Why doesn’t it work? I’m running Drobo and Dashboard with the actual firmware/software version.

This is what I do. But the Drobo does not switch to standby… :frowning:
It disconnects from Windows (and also from Dashboard) and stay’s active… It will not go to standby…

You have to disconnect the data cable at the end.

I know that I have to do this. But why? I believe in an earlier firmware version the Drobo shuts down completley without disconnecting.
