Curious if I’m in the right ballpark … I’m getting around ~20MB/s STR when doing it over 5GHz 802.11n Wifi (I believe over 2 spatial streams).
Anyone else getting higher than that over wifi?

Let’s start with the basics: what is the actual link rate you are getting? It doesn’t really matter that you have the potential for 300 Mbps if you are connected only at 100Mbps due to environment interference.
In any case, assuming you can get a stable 300 Mbps connection, this gives you a maximum of 37.5 MB/s. Since there have been many reports of 5N’s pushing upwards of 100 MB/s, I’m pretty sure the bottleneck here is the wifi.
If I had to guesstimate a practical maximum, I’d say that if you discount all the network overhead you should be getting 30 MB/s at best.
You’re already doing better than me - my 802.11n network (sadly single antenna 2.4Ghz) tops out at about 9MB/sec.
