So anyone know if formatting NTFS with the /L switch is safe?

My backup software requires the /L switch when formatting NTFS

The parameter spoken about here: NTFS overview | Microsoft Docs

Anyone know if it’s safe to do that on a Drobo?
I mean… it’s a supported file-system & all that, but the option isn’t used when dashboard formats a volume… & on a volume where that parameter isn’t used… the only way to avoid issues with the backup software is regular defragmentation… & it’s WELL KNOWN that defragging a Drobo is a bad idea.
