Reformatting Drobo, to address 5D speed issues

hi All, My 5D which was encrypted OSX Disk Utility (OSX Extended Journal) has meant the password protected content results very slow transfer file speeds (too slow for Final Cut, or even copy/paste). Does anyone have any suggestions for reformatting the Drobo drive, still using some form of password encryption, ‘the right way’? Thanks. Rob

So far as I’m aware, encryption is only supported for the backup volume (if enabled).
You might find something that does encryption at the file level rather than file-system/disk level would work, but I can’t really offer suggestions, not being a Mac user.

Thanks Cyber Beardy. That’s what I was afraid of. Will do some further investigation. best. R
