question about hard drives...

My DroboFS just flipped me the double fisted bird this morning…
I had on of my 2TB drives die two days ago, overnighted a 4TB WD Red NAS (which of course didn’t come until 5:30). When I put it in this morning, the Drobo didn’t want to accept it. Same thing that happened when I put in the other two 4TB drives. so I wasn’t too worried, it took a couple reboots the last two times. On one of the reboots the whole thing went red. ok… I put the “bad” drive back in and rebooted a few more times, got it to come back up, but it says “internal error contact support”…which, as we all know, is pointless. ok…so…on to ordering a new 5N…

my question:
I know the 5N currently has a 16TB limit. If I put 5 - 4TB drives in the 5N set for Dual Redundancy, will it still give me 12TB for storage?

yes it will

Awesome!
Now if only I could get my FS back up…
would save me HOURS of pulling everything off hundreds of DVD’s…
