Since upgrading to Sierra, when I try to move or save a document while in Preview to my Drobo 5N, Preview stops responding. My work around is to save the file locally and copy it to my Drobo folder(s).
I’ve rebooted. Removed the folder ~Library/com.apple.preview. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
hi tsgroup, can i check which version of dashboard you are using?
there was a post about a new version here which might help you too in case its a drive locking/permission issue:

if it is only preview that is having the problem, then it might be best to wait a bit in case a new version of preview fixes a bug, though if you also have some issues saving office documents to your drobo as well, then it could be the same sort of issue as in the linked post.
