nfs how it works

I have downloaded and installed the nfs or unfsd program so i can mount the drobo share drive on linux or unix box. How do i go about doing that with setup and nfs mount commands on a linux or unix box please help. Can someone also explain why do i see a Windows mapped drobo share drive as a ntfs file system is, whats my option to change and how? Thanks

mount -t cifs -o user=,password= //192.168.1.3/ /mnt/

You created a volume and formatted it NTFS.
If u have not copied any data on that NTFS volume and u don’t intend to allow any Windows clients to access that, then delete it.
