Moving Drobo drives to newer Drobo

I have a 2nd generation Drobo with 4 drives. Just bought a 5D. Can I move the drives from the earlier Drobo directly to the 5D?

Yes, just remember to remove/insert the drives in when the Drobo units are turned off before proceeding to turn it on.
