Migration from FS to 8D

#1

I’ve read that MacOS no longer supports network attached storage, and indeed my FS has from time to time demanded that a new back up be created from scratch. Sadly, this takes a really long time.

I’m considering migrating to an 8D, but I suppose I can’t simply remove the volumes from the FS and expect them to work. Is this correct?

Once I’ve backed up my primary disks to the new 8D, can I reformat the old disks from the FS and use them in the 8D?

Thanks in advance for any help.

No migration between the two as the drive formatting would be different. As far as re-using the older FS drives… why yes, yes you can. They would be re-formatted when inserted into the 8D.
