MacOS and Drobo5N2 duplicate shares?

I am trying to figure out the best way to mount my Drobo 5N2 upon boot in MacOS 10.14.5?

I have tried to just add the volume in my “Login Items”, but for some reason I end up with multiple instances of my Drobo on my desktop when boot up is complete???

When I get info on the two icons, I get two different “Server”.

Icon #1 says "afp://Drobo5N2.afpowertcp._tcp.local/Drobo5N2
“format: AppleShare”

Icon #2 says “smb://Drobo5N2/Drobo5N2”
“format: SMB (OS X)”

I have no idea why this is happening. All I want is one Drobo5N2 to show up and be consistently accessed by TimeMachine, iTunes, etc.

Any tips to fix my problem would be greatly appreciated!

I had that happen until I was blue in the face. The only answer I could come up with was to get rid of Drobo and purchase a Synology DS418Play. It works perfect and I threw all the Drobo stuff away.
