Long cable distances drobo 5c?

Hello,
what cables are you guys using for distances over 5m?

I tried the Corning 3Optical but it doesnt work reliably with the drobo 5c.

hi abcd, i had a look on there faqs page and the last current usb question about using it for longer distances mentioned mixing some cables together. if you can have a look here in case not already seen, does the info they pasted help you at all?

also, it seems that their device currently is geared towards usb devices that are self powered, and you might have already done this though can i check if you had been powering up the drobo normaly, via its own psu when you tried your tests?

btw how long are you trying to reach?
