The Linksys E3000 router has a USB port for centralized file sharing and a built-in media server. Has anyone tried this setup on a Drobo yet?
i havent tried that specifi one but usually there are a couple of limitation to router’s usb prots
they can usually only see the FIRST partition on a disk (dorob usually creates multiple partitions)
they can usually only see MBR formatted partitions (so 2GB or smaller)
so if you have your drobo formatted with 2tb partitions, it shoudl see the first one
if yo uhave greater than 2tb partitions i woudlnt expect it to see anyway
I was thinking along those lines, but wasn’t sure. I think I’ll leave my Drobo where it is for now.
