Keeping Drobo on it's face?

I was just wondering if my drobo would keep any cooler if it were to be stood face down? I wanted to ask first incase someone turns around and says YOU WILL BLOW UP YOUR DROBO IF YOU STAND IT ON IT’S FACE!

then gravity would be trying to pull all the drives out of their electrical sockets? i couldn’t actually think of a worse way to orient your drobo

Definitely leave the Drobo in its default orientation. Jennifer has said in the past that any other orientation has risk to damage the backplane… free-fall drives, oh boy!

Plus you can’t see the lights in that orientation either.
