"Internal Problem"

Shortly after my Drobo FS firmware being upgraded to 1.2.2, I have not been able to mount the drive and am getting a “Drobo detected an internal problem”. Dashboard sees the drives and the amount of data in the unit.

I have re-flashed the firmware, with out success.

Any recommendations?

Is your DroboFS completely full? If so, please open a trouble ticket with an attached diagnostic file.

If your DroboFS isn’t full, refer to KB article http://support.drobo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/500/kw/mount%20failed and follow the instructions to run e2fsck. This is safe to run with firmware 1.2.2.

My Drobo is not full. I saw the link you provided prior to my initial post, but was a bit worried about the “which can be destructive, potentially damaging data” statement. How concerned do I need to be?

So long as the firmware has been updated to 1.2.2, it’s safe to run e2fsck to try to repair the volume. Do not run it more than two times. If it fails twice, open a support ticket with the details of what you’ve already tried.
