Installing rsync

I’m keen to put rsync daemon on the Drobo5N. I’ve found articles here and via Google, but
: many say “find rsynch here” and point to a DroboApps page that does not exist any more, e.g. http://www.droboports.com/app-repository/rsync-3-0-9
: “I installed rsynch” but don’t say how they did it.

I know that rsynch is available at rsync.samba.org, but putting rsync-3.1.1.tar.gz into the DroboApps folder, then rebooting (which I guessed would work) does not work.

So …

  1. is there a definitive place to get rsynch as a DroboApp?
  2. if not, specifically how to install?
