I’m interested in purchasing a B800fs and filling it with 6-Tb drives. Given the current ceiling of 32Tb, I’d be limited to 5 drives. Can I be certain that the ceiling will be raised so that I can expand storage capacity?
Many thanks!
Hello,
I think you could insert 6 drives (6 X 6TB), since one drive would be used as redundancy your available usage would be slightly less than 30 TB.
Do note that Drobo B800fs have 2 volumes created by default, each volume supports a maximum of 16 TB.
Hope this helps.
Has anyone put 5 5tb/6tb drives in a 5N yet to see whether it actually does create 2 volumes?
