I went to replace one of the drives with a 8tb seagate and all hell broke loss, it did not like it at all so I pull it out and put the old one back in. Now I have a mess all the lights are red and I don’t know what to do!
Here’s what I would try:
- Power off your Drobo
- Remove your disk pack while labelling the order of the disks.
- Power on the Drobo to make sure it boots correctly
- Power off the Drobo
- Insert your disk pack in the same order it was removed (with the original disk), while Drobo is off
- Power on the Drobo
If that doesn’t work and you have access to Drobo support, you could open a ticket for them to help. Unfortunately, diagnostics files are no longer readable by anyone but Drobo employees.
