How to select mSATA size?

I thought I would add an mSATA drive. How does one select the size? Just a bit larger than the size of “average” downloads?

mSATA is only used for read cache and small frequently accessed files.
drobo does not recommend any large mSATA drives and 64GB might be the max…

Personally I used 64GB mSATA drive and did not have any noticeable effect.
My drobo mostly contains FLAC, CR2 and MKV files that I wouldn’t classify as small…

I have now removed my mSATA card from drobo to use it elsewhere.
