I have a Drobo 5D and configured it to automatically backup my MacBook Pro. I also have a windows PC with external drives and cannot figure out how to get Windows Explorer to recognize the Drobo so I can copy over files from the external drives. Is there a trick to getting Windows File Explorer to recognize the Drobo? It is recognized as there on the Windows’ Drobo Dashboard, just not Windows File Explorer…
If you are using your Drobo on your Mac then you probably have it formatted in MacOS file system. Windows can not read that file system so it will not show up. You can probably just use special software for Windows that can read Mac formatted disks like MacDrive, there are also a couple of free ones too.
Look up sharing hard disks between Mac and Windows to get an idea of your options.
