If you have switched from Windows Live Mail to Microsoft Outlook, you will need to perform EML to PST conversion. Windows Live Mail saves email messages in EML format while Microsoft Outlook stores all your mailbox data in personal storage table, known as PST file. There is a manual trick that can be used to import the EML files to Microsoft Outlook without using any third-party converter tool.
Follow the steps given below to import the EML files to Outlook:
Launch Microsoft Outlook on your system. And also launch Windows Live Mail.
In the Windows Live Mail window, click File button > select Export and then select Email messages.
Now select Microsoft Exchange as the format > click Next.
When you click Next, you will receive a message saying “all email will be exported to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange”. Click OK to continue.
You can export all the email folders or select the appropriate folders which you want to export by using the Select folders.
Once you select the appropriate option, click OK.
The export process will be started. You should wait for the export process to be completed.
Once the process is completed, the Export Complete dialog box will appear on your screen. Click Finish.
If the above manual trick fails or does not work, then you need to try a third-party converter tool. I would suggest here SysInfoTools EML to PST Converter tool that can easily convert your multiple EML files into PST format within a few mouse clicks. I strongly recommend to try its demo before buying licensed version of this tool. Demo version is available for free download that will allow you to convert 15 EML files into PST format.
