File and Folder Permissions

Hello everyone,

Does drobo allow for custom file and folder permissions? What I want to do is disable file/folder deletion for most of the users but I need to allow users to write/modify the existing files.

I looked at the dashboard and the only 2 options I have is: Read only, or Read/Write.

I also tried to change the permissions manually through the windows security settings from full control to a custom setting which disable’s file deletion but it doesn’t save.

hi, in your last sentence when you say it “doesnt save”,
do you mean the “security setting changes” are not being kept when you change them
or that the users can no longer delete, but can no longer save their modifications as well?
