Has anyone verified that their script works for them? I SSH’d in, navigated tot he dropbear folder, and ran root_passwd, and it gave the success response saying that I wouldn’t have to worry about it resetting. It did change the password, but not even 30 minutes later (without even rebooting the drobo) I tried connecting and it had already reset the password back to root/root.
It worked for me. I have changed the root password a few weeks after buying the FS and it never switched back on me.
Really strange, I rebooted the Drobo again without modifying anything else, and it reset the password to my new password. So, something else must be setting the user/pass to root/root. I’ll post back if I narrow it down at all.
