DroboPorts Usenet Bundle

Hi All,

Hoping someone may be able to help. I’ve just purchased a Drobo 5N and I’m attempting to install the usenet bundle from DroboPorts which looks awesome.

I’ve installed Dropbear and have SSH access, I’ve also installed OpenSSH and wget.

I was following the prereq installs and had an issue with python2 not being found (404), I assumed it was simply an outdated URL due to a new version of python so amended it to:

$WGET http://www.droboports.com/app-repository/python-2-7-5/$DEVICE/python2.tgz --no-check-certificate

This was successful but now I have an issue running the following:

sh setuptools-0.6c11-py2.7.egg

I get the following error:

setuptools-0.6c11-py2.7.egg: exec: line 8: python2.7: not found

Probably me being stupid but I hope someone can help me out.

Thanks in advance,

Rob.

Can you please try https://github.com/droboports/python2/releases/download/v2.7.8/python2.tgz instead? This one should come with setuptools bundled.

In fact, I recommend using the apps from this post: http://www.drobospace.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=142706

Thank you for the response, ricardo.

Would you recommend removing the applications already installed first? If so, is it a simple case of deleting the application folders from the DrobApps share?

Thanks,

Rob.

Yes, if you are installing from scratch it is better to start with these. Remove all the folders, and restart your Drobo. That should do it.

Thanks for the support… I’ll give it a try this weekend.

Best,

Rob.

I followed the link above and installed the applications and was pretty successful. I have sabNZB running along with Sick Beard and CouchPotato. So thanks very much for your help, very pleased.

I have two outstanding issues, the first being Sick Beard moving the downloaded TV programmes to the correct directory but I believe this is simply the autoProcessTV.py and sabToSickBeard.py to complete.

The one I’m not sure about, is what port Headphones is running on? I was expecting it to be 8181 but cannot find it to configure.

Thanks,

Rob.

Please do not reply about the new release on the old thread. It will confuse people that might find this thread in the future.

As for your question, the port assignments for the new release (see the other thread here: http://www.drobospace.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=142706 ) are:

  • 8081: sabnzbd
  • 8082: sickbeard
  • 8083: couchpotato
  • 8084: headphones
