Drobo writes slow down dramatically

I have a DroboPro with 8 2TB drives in a Single drive failure configuration. I am writing a 20GB file to the DroboPro over a 1Gb ISCSI connection. The write starts out at about 50-60MB/s and has no problems until about a minute into it. After this the speed drops to about 2MB/s and stays there until the write is complete.

I’m on the latest firmware/dashboard and there are no errors on any of the drives. I’ve restarted the Drobo with the same result.

is the 20GB data one large single file or multiple smaller size (kb) files?

i think iscsi somehow is not ideal in transferring multiple small files at one go…

you’ve tried the same on a USB?
