Drobo won't mount volume!!!!!

I have a v2 Drobo with the latest version of Dashboard - 1.5.1(1.5.19930) and FirmWare - 1.3.5(1.252.21110). It was installed as a 16TB partition with 4 1.5TB Seagate drives. There were two volumes created. One 768GB TimeMachine volume and the remainder as a Media volume. It’s connected via USB to a Mac Mini running OSX version 10.5.8. I leave the Mini and Drobo on all the time.

A couple of times in the last few weeks, I’ve found the Drobo in a reboot loop. When I found it in this state, I would disconnect the power to the Drobo, shutdown the Mini and then restart the Mini, and power up the Drobo and everything would come back up fine.

Today, I found it in the reboot loop and went thru the process above and this time, it will only mount the TimeMachine volume. The Media volume doesn’t mount. I’ve tried the power down and reboot several time with no luck. Any ideas how I can get it to mount both volumes? The Media volume had 7500 songs and 275 movies on it. It will REALLY suck if Drobo has screwed up and won’t mount this volume…

I have a similar problem. my drobo was reformated for 8TB volume. since then i have had problems with all the blue lights disappearing from the front, and the volume can’t be browsed. The drobo dashboard says everything ok, but it requires a reboot to get it going again.

Usually reboot loops are the result of a bad drive or file system corruption.

I would recommend opening a support case.

Definitely contact support ASAP. In my experience, when a drive has “trouble” spinning up, it’s only a matter of time before it stops trying. If it’s file system corruption hopefully it’s recoverable.
