Drobo Disaster Recovery

We’re currently using several Drobo B800i’s and I have a question about what happens if one of them were to fail: When we replace the Drobo device itself, do the hard drives need to remain in the exact order they were in the failed Drobo? For example, if one of our Drobo’s dies, do we have to pull out the hard drives and keep them in the exact same order when we put them in a new Drobo device?
