I’m well aware of the whole “How Mac OS X reports drive capacity ” thing, but these two labels (identical) are off by 489.32 GB.
Drobo Dashboard 1.6.8 [1.6.27123]
Drobo Firmware 1.3.6 [1.253.25784]
via FireWire 800 to:
MacBook Pro 7,1
Snow Leopard 10.6.4
For clarity, I’ve also attached a screenshot of the volume’s info as seen in Disk Utility.
yep, thats a bug right there
I’m curious does disk utility find anything wrong with the drobo? Have you tried restart the Mac or the drobo or both?
Rebooted Mac and Drobo, then and ran Repair Disk in Disk Utility. No issues, but DD still reports the incorrect Used Space values.
Do you only have one volume on your drobo?
Yes, only a single volume.
Then uninstall and reinstall Dashboard.
Following the proper uninstall procedure from here:
http://support.datarobotics.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/107
Followed the steps for “Drobo Dashboard 1.6.6 and later” precisely. Installed the latest DD (ddinstaller_1-6-8.dmg) to no avail. Used Space is still reported incorrectly. It isn’t a huge issue, just thought I’d mention it. Thanks for the help.
Please open a support case.
It appears that they’ve resolved the issue in the latest release. Thanks.
