Drobo Dashboard 3.0.0 crash in Win 10 Creators Edition

My computer just updated to the new Windows 10 Creators Edition. Since then, Drobo Dashboard 3.0.0 won’t start. It gives me the error window that says

“Drobo Dashboard has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no difference.

Any ideas? Are others having problems with Win 10 Creators Edition?

Thanks in advance for any help

Don’t have it yet, but hopefully a fix is in the works.

hi trbuckly, can i check if the same issue still happens if you try launching it in admin mode (or with admin rights)?

Paul - Good suggestion. I just tried, and the same thing happens when I do a right click and “Run as Administrator” with Drobo Dashboard. It crashes with the same message.

ah ok, thanks for trying that - it might be worth uninstalling dashboard completely and then rebooting the computer, and then reinstalling dashboard (possibly with another reboot, in case windows locks some install files until next startup etc)… if you can try those how do things go?

Hi Paul, thanks for the followup. Did all that (twice, actually!), same result.

I’ve been in touch with Drobo tech support, they asked me to send the Drobo Dashboard log files, which I have done. I’m now waiting to hear back to see what they have to say.

Thanks again,

Tom

ok thanks for the update tom, fingers crossed it can get sorted out for you
