Drobo 5D3 not working with 2019 MacBook Pro

My Drobo 5D3 is being disconnected from my 2019 MacBook Pro. I’ve contacted Drobo support and been told that the issue has been sent to the development team (apparently I’m not alone). The problem is that the Drobo is disconnecting so often and so unpredictably that I cannot use the Lightroom and PhotoShop programs that are the bread and butter of my photography activity. The Drobo contains 4 drives, for a total storage of 28 TB - not that this makes any difference I suspect. The MacBook Pro is only a month old. Should I send it back and use a desktop Mac instead? I just sold my old desktop for the MB Pro. Thanks for any advice on this critical problem. Ken
