Drobo 5D noisy fan

Drobo working fine, but after an hour or so from startup, the fan starts to make a loud noise, like a hum with a tapping noise also. Any advice? How hard is it to replace the fan? Part number/availability? Thanks, Steve
PS Yes, I’ve blown the dust out to the extent possible.

I replaced the fan in my 5N and it’s not difficult, your 5D should be similar. I used tiny wire nuts to splice the connections. Procedure I used was similar to this…

Replaced the fan with no problems. Drobo is now so quiet that I would have done this long ago, if I’d known the improvement would have been this good. Used a BL046 Pure Wings 2 120 mm fan.
