[size=xx-large][size=large]Hello,
As hard drive space increases has anyone attempted to use a 6TB or greater hard drive on the 5D?
Any comments and/or suggestions greatly appreciated.

The short answer is yes. You can find some people talking about successfully implementing 6TB here. http://www.drobospace.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=141970
But Drobo has been rather quiet about updating support for 5, 6, and 8TB drives, and most famously and inexplicably, they seem to be hobbled somehow in their ability to update the online calculator. At any rate, you might have no trouble at all. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before Drobo will provide some news on these larger hard drives. Well, we can hope at least.
Take a look at my post. My Mac started having kernel reboots out of nowhere after I replaced 3 4TB disks with 6TB ones.
A word of caution… which Drobo doenst appear to have any issues with the size of the disks per se, now disks are being released that are native 4k disks, rather than 512e, be sure to update to the very latest firmware before inserting a native 4k disk into your Drobo
I was using the WD60EFRX

I have 5 6TB HGST NAS drives in my 5D. It runs flawlessly, fast and reliable. I’ll be updating to the 3.2 firmware tomorrow.
I don’t think there is a need on size increasing! http://bigessaywriter.com/blog/winning-emails-how-to-increase-replieswill help you to receive more replies due to winning emails!
