Drobo 2nd Gen Voltage

Hello!

Got my first Drobo, a 2nd Gen.

Just wanted to know if the power supply is autovolt? It does say it can hack 110-220v but I just want to be sure its safe to plug it into a 220v outlet since I’ll be bringing it out of the USA to countries which do not have stable 110v outlets.

I is autovolt. It will work correctly outside the US.

Are you talking about countries with undeveloped economies? Some of them have severe power problems and could suffer from both voltage spikes, brownouts and low voltages under 100V. I would suggest a UPS in those countries.

I’ll be using it in an area with more stable 220v outlets than 110v outlets so it was a concern if it would even work in the first place or blow up.

might be worth getting some surge protection plugs too
