Drives not recognized, suspect backplane failed

I came home today to find the Drobo 5n in a critical state. The bottom two drives disappeared from the array. The unit was in data protection mode that would last over 24 hours. I started copying data to a computer, when about an hour into it, the remaining 3 drives disappeared. Now Drobo claims there are no drives installed.

I powered down the unit, and waited a little while before powering up again, but it still says no drives installed.

What is the best way to get my data back?

Other posts in the community similar to this issue have pointed to a bad power supply. That would be the first thing I would try as it would be a pretty easy fix. Otherwise, it might be that the backplane is dead. You can try your drive pack in a different Drobo 5N/5N2, but if the data protection had already initiated, it may be too late to recover. Also, locating another 5N/5N2 is really difficult these days.
