Drive Failure during Data Protection Rebuild

We were running low on disk space. We replaced a 4TB WD drive with a 14TB WD Plus drive in Bay 0. During the data protection in progress a 4TB WD drive in Bay 3 is now Critical, flashing red during the data protection process.

My question is probably obvious, but what happens if I were to replace the drive in Bay 3 during the process? Note, the approximate hours remaining continue to grow; now 74 hours.
