Does Drobo FS at 95% Capacity Force Speed Down?

Hi guys.

My original Drobo would artificially force speeds down when it reached 95% capacity. (I hate this feature!)

My FS doesn’t mention that it also forces speed down artificially. Does it?

i would imagine it must do, if the capacity that your operating system is greater than the capacity of the disks in droboFS then by forcing slowdown is the only way it an stop you from trying to put more data on there, than it actually has the capability to store.

Yeah, it’d be like trying to pour more water into a glass that appear half-empty, but the water won’t go in.
There’s a feature request to allow disabling or at least configuring the slowdown by fixed-size in the Feature Requests section.
