DDAssist visible in mission control on mac os X lion

I noticed this recently, with the drobo dashboard 2.1.2 there is a DDAssist process.

When I zoom out in mission control (spaces) on my mac (press F3), it shows up as a small white square
in the bottom right of one of the spaces. You can’t see it if you go to that space, but only when
you are zoomed out.

For a while I was concerned there was something amiss, but I worked out by elimination which
process caused it.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
