Dashboard Help

I’ve googled as much as I can think of, but cannot find a resolution to the problem I’m having.

My Dashboard will work fine if I reboot my laptop, but doing so takes way too much effort to get done and I’m wondering if there’s a way around this.

Whenever I reboot my Drobo, or reboot my router, connect to my work VPN (and disconnect later), the Dashboard looses connection. I’ve tried to restart the DDService and close/re-open the dashboard program to no avail. The only way to get it working that I’ve figured out so far is rebooting.
