Dashboard 2.0.3 and Win 7 x64

I’ve got a desktop and laptop both running Win 7 x64. Both had the old Dashboard (the one that supported Droboshares) on them before. Uninstalled both and upgraded to 2.0.3 since I’ve now moved to a Drobo FS.

The laptop is now running Dashboard 2.0.3 just fine but on my desktop the app just won’t run. It installs fine(at least no complaints) but on launch the dashboard crashes straight out.

Any suggestions on what to do? I’ve tried uninstalling the runtime package that the installer launches as well as uninstalling a bunch of stuff and running CCleaner to make things better but all to no avail.

That’s odd, Dashboard 2.0.3 runs fine on my Win 7 x64 machine.

Try uninstalling, rebooting, log in with an account that has Administrator privileges, then right-click the Drobo Dashboard Setup and choose Run as Administrator and go through the setup.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. Like I said, works fine on my Win 7 x64 laptop but not on my Win 7 x64 desktop.

Only other thing I can think of is that there’s some domain or group policy restriction that’s different between the two machines.

Are any of your other programs misbehaving?
