Adding third disk - performance boost

Hi all,

I currently have 2 x Samsung 1TB disks in my FS. I get an average write speed of 27MB/s.

Will adding a third disk increase the performance of the FS? (Assuming single disk redundancy is all that is required).

Nope - in fact a write speed of 27MB/sec is a few MB/sec better than what I see normally. That’s about the best you’re going to get.

My read is at 40MB/s and write spead is at 28MB/s over a Gigabit wired network connection. It’s for a 3x1TB + 2x2TB configuration.
