Accessing drives without Drobo Unit

My Drobo showed a failed drive that was healed, then I replaced it. Constat repbooting. Support said put it in read only, so I did and I was able to access. The another drive went bad and I replacedit. got message that too many drives were removed. put the drive back…and it flashed red saying replace drive. This cycle just kept going. So now, it seems my only option is to restart everything and lose all my data.

is there a way I can access the data on the drives without the unit? Even if I could copy it to a new drive to see if that works.

If your new replacement drives are SMR drives this could be the root cause.
If you can get it to a state where you can read your data, make an external backup copy of your data before proceeding further.
