Accelerator Bay

When I purchase our 5N about 18 months ago, I believe I read the maximum mSATA card the Accelerator Bay would accept was 256GB. We are just about to add a fifth hard drive and I was considering upgrading the mSATA card.

My Question.

Is there a limit on the size of the mSATA card the Drobo 5N will accept?

Drobo support said that they found no/minimal improvement in using large msata cards, using larger than 128gb would be a waste of money as you would not be getting any benefit

Thank you for the info. I already have a 256 mSATA card installed, so you may have just saved me some cash.
